The 17th installment in the series is called Battlefield 2042 and will take players to the near future. The game developed by EA DICE is set in 2042 and depicts the fictional conflict between the United States and Russia. Massive battles

Battlefield 2042 focuses on a multiplayer experience. You'll be able to fight on seven massive and diverse maps supporting up to 128 players in Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 5 or 64 players in Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. According to the Battlefield Briefing, there may be a possibility of playing cross-platform. Battlefield 2042 crossplay will launch in two separate branches: PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 players will be able to play together with the options for game including only PCs or only consoles.
